Where did you take your last vacation?

Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands. It’s a great Easter holiday destination, especially when you find yourself craving some sun after a long winter. A four hour flight away, it’s just about bearable with young kids.

Which hotel (anywhere in the world) would you recommend most highly and why?

I love quiet Greek islands namely Sifnos, Folegandros and Amorgos, and tend to avoid the tourist destinations. Having said that, I will never forget our stay at Perivola, Santorini. It was before we had children (it’s a child-free hotel). I felt so calm and so well looked after, I wished we’d stayed longer than just 2 nights. The infinity pool is incredible and the views utterly breath taking. We took to ferry from there to Folegandros where we stayed at the hotel Anemi. Also gorgeous, it allows children, and eight years later, now we have two, we just might head back there next year.

Name a place or hotel you've yet to go to, but is on the wish list?

My wish-list is about to come true. I’m getting married in June and we’re going to Sicily where we’ll be staying in two fabulous hotels. The first one is Capofaro Locanda and Malvasia it is an ultra-quiet hotel on Salina, the island near Stromboli. I’m excited to watch the volcano from our balcony at night, almost as excited as I am about the extensive wine tasting (it’s surrounded by vineyards).

After 5 quiet nights on Salina, we’re heading off to the bombastic Taormina for two nights to stay at Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo. I’ll be packing a few chi-chi dresses!

What will you be packing this summer?

Lots of sundresses, big earrings, and a few clutch bags. Zimmerman, Dodo Bar Or, Gul Hurgel and Saloni are my favourite dress designers right now. I’m also on the look out for some colourful flat sandals.

Holiday read this year?

I’ve been saving it, but after Tina Brown’s Vanity Fair diaries, I reckon it’s time to deep dive into the new Philip Pullman.
