There’s nothing like a bit of winter sun even if it does involve a busy work schedule. We’ve been back to the workshop in Saigon making new samplesso watch this space for some new slick travel bags next season. A side from early starts and lots of technical leather chats with Mr. Hieu we had a couple of days to play with so we popped over to sample the delights of Phnom Penh.

The best way to get around Phnom Penh is a tuk tuk, here’s our favorite Lacquer man James Lowther ( showing us how to look stylish with his Eddie Harrop Weeekender as we nip across the city from the Plantation to Raffles Le Royal after rather a heavy night on the Cambodian tiles.

EH top tip – sneak down the back ally to bar Sito for some late night speak easy cocktails.

The pool at the Plantation (which used to be an old French administration centre to the Royal Palace)

More of those tiles!

Its hard not to be inspired in surroundings as beautiful as these, that wonderful evening light at dusk in the tropics that seems to be so magical, and what better way to enjoy it than to jump on a moped and drive into the countryside and see some of the biggest smiles you’ll ever see.

EH top tip – read ‘River of Time’ by John Swain if you want to sense the true meaning of the Mekong River. It’s a truly harrowing read but recognises the courage and plight that these people have faced.

Its going to be hard to pack our Eddie Harrops back home!
