We’ve had to head out to New York for some exciting work meetings (watch this space!). Whilst there we couldn’t resist a few days in the Hamptons to stay with our favourite furniture designer James Lowther in his gorgeous beach house – ( ….we then headed to the uber hip & wonderfully slick Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg for a few nights once we arrived back in the City.

The rooms are beautifully designed with the best mini bar we’ve ever seen – think mirrored glass and your own ice bucket for that much needed G&T. They’ve also designed their own wallpaper which acts a s a stylish backdrop amongst the warehouse style interior design. Don’t forget to head up to the roof to watch the sunset, you don’t even have to be staying to enjoy this, there’s always a nice crowd up there and fun to people watch. Oh and if you need a good bloody Mary the next day they do a tasty brunch menu downstairs….One double eggs benedict coming up …..

EH top tips for Williamsburg:

Rosarito – really cool eatery – & powerful cocktails – they’ve just opened ‘The Shack’ a sister restaurant next door, had a fun one hangin with the cool cats from the burg for a friends birthday there

Thrift shopping – Every corner you turn there is some vintage YSL/Aliai luring you inside … Oh go on then….

Hello Beauty – if you want an alternative Salon to get your hair done! You still get the the results of an upper east side coiffured blow dry even if the guy doing it has a neon Mohawk

Output Nightclub – especially the new ‘Stilton Room’ – opened by my brother in law – and where all the big name DJ’s head – Best Club in NY according to Rolling Stone Magazine – bingo
